Power Transformers

In recent years larger and larger power transformers are being used for transmitting higher and higher voltages over longer distances.Where tremendous amounts of current ( high or low voltage) are being sent Mica must be used as an insulator. Mica is the only insulation capable of absorbing the enormous pressure with a minimum of loss that would permit transformer voltages high enough to transmit high power over long distances.
